This product is an advanced security sensory system with an ability to detect and report any active attempts to compromise the physical integrity of an electricity meter; it uses advanced technology that enables it to accurately register threats and appropriately report the suspicious activities. After the tampering activity has been detected by the system, it then automatically sends a report to rightful stakeholders alerting them of the threat. It is important to note the meter does not need to be a smart meter for this advanced technology to detect and report on suspicious activity.
Our flagship Revenue Management System, the backbone of UtilTech, has been developed from ground up with the customer in the centre of the development to address the very pertinent issue of revenue collection and management within the Gas, Water and Electricity sector. The STS Edition 2 compliant system is widely used by our customers to vend Water and Electricity prepaid tokens and also as a debt collection system through the prepaid vending environment. It is a modern web based, rich interactive and easy to use system where the customer is always in control with limited support requirements. One of key foundation that led to us developing an industry leading software solution and system to be able to audit both Water and Electricity Meters was because of the number of old meters installed mainly in public utilities such as municipalities. These meters requires an individual to personally visit each one of them not only to check if the meter is still operating as per the requirement, but also to check if the meter is not tampered with, calibrated and also record meter readings for bill generation purposes.
